The defending Premier League champions, Liverpool FC, have announced a multi-year global partnership with Trimble Inc., a leading name in connected construction and design technologies.
The collaboration reinforces Liverpool’s commitment to modernising its infrastructure and bolstering its innovation credentials both on and off the field.
Under the agreement, Trimble becomes an official global partner of Liverpool FC. Its branding will feature across Liverpool’s home ground, Anfield, as well as on the club’s digital platforms.
Importantly, the partnership also includes a central role for Trimble in the redevelopment of the club’s Academy facilities, where its advanced design software, including SketchUp, will be utilised to plan and execute major upgrades.
The redevelopment blueprint includes a full-sized indoor pitch, a new outdoor pitch complete with stands, and significantly enhanced medical and sport science facilities to support Liverpool’s youth development programmes.
Ben Latty, Chief Commercial Officer at LFC, said, “Trimble’s technology and expertise will play an important role in how we continue to evolve our facilities to meet the needs of the modern game – starting with the redevelopment of our Academy.
“Innovation has always been central to the club’s approach, and this partnership brings a fresh perspective to how we design and deliver spaces that support our players, staff, and fans. We’re delighted to welcome Trimble to the LFC partnership family.”
Rob Painter, President and CEO of Trimble, added, “Our collaboration with Liverpool Football Club is a pivotal step in expanding our global reach. LFC, much like Trimble and its dedicated customers, embodies excellence and a relentless passion for continuous improvement. We’re confident that this unparalleled exposure will propel the brand further with extended global resonance.”
Liverpool FC offer a formidable global platform: more than 215 million followers across social media, over 12 million YouTube subscribers, and a cumulative television audience of virtually 600 million during the 2024-25 season. With that reach, Trimble gains access to a worldwide audience.
Beyond mere branding, the partnership reflects both organisations’ long-term ambitions: Liverpool’s strategy to leverage technology in enhancing player performance, fan engagement, and infrastructure, and Trimble’s objective to showcase its solutions in high-profile, globally-relevant environments.
The brand joins Liverpool’s existing commercial roster alongside partners such as Women in Football, New Era, Haier, Visit Maldives, EC Markets, BAYCREW’S, and adidas.
On the field, however, the Reds find themselves in a challenging patch. Having won only one of their last seven appearances across the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and EFL Cup, Liverpool’s consistency has come under scrutiny. According to the most recent standings, they sit in seventh place, with a record of five wins and four defeats from nine matches this season.
Looking ahead, the fixture list offers no respite. A barraging sequence awaits: tonight against Aston Villa, midweek against Real Madrid in the Champions League, followed by a showdown with Manchester City. For a club used to momentum, the next few weeks may tell whether infrastructure growth off the pitch can be matched by performance resurgence on it.
