The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is all set to host Myanmar and the Kyrgyz Republic from March 22 to March 28 for the Tri-Nation Friendly Tournament at Manipur’s Khuman Lampak Stadium.
During the Blue Tigers’ camp, which got underway on March 15, in Kolkata, Senior Men’s National Team head coach, Igor Stimac has selected a preliminary 23-man roster. Mehtab Singh, Sivasakthi Narayanan, Ritwik Das, and Rohit Kumar are among the newcomers. Phurba Lachenpa is another. Vishal Kaith, the Indian Super League (ISL) golden glove winner, has been added to the reserves.
The remaining nine players (from Bengaluru FC and ATK Mohun Bagan) will arrive on March 19, following the Hero ISL 2022–23 final. Eleven players have been selected as reserves, and only emergencies will warrant their call-up for the camp. The final 23 players for the Tri-Nation International Football Tournament will be revealed after the Hero ISL final is over.
