JioHotstar has expanded its live-sports footprint by acquiring the digital broadcast rights for Season 7 of the Tennis Premier League (TPL). The partnership places the platform at the centre of the league’s growth strategy and delivers a major visibility boost for one of India’s fastest-rising tennis properties.
Under the agreement, JioHotstar will stream all matches live, supported by highlights packages, player-focused features, and behind-the-scenes programming. The objective is to give fans a richer and more accessible viewing experience through the platform’s nationwide reach and interactive capabilities.
Commenting on the occasion, Kunal Thakkur, Co-Founder of the Tennis Premier League, said, “We’re thrilled to welcome JioHotstar as our official OTT partner for the next three seasons. TPL has always aimed to revolutionize how tennis is consumed in India, and this partnership ensures that fans everywhere can now experience the league in the most engaging and accessible way possible.”
Mrunal Jain, Co-Founder of the Tennis Premier League, added, “Our vision has always been to make tennis a household sport in India. Partnering with JioHotstar gives us the perfect platform to amplify that vision — reaching millions of fans and giving them a front-row seat to the excitement of TPL Season 7.”
The Tennis Premier League, India’s franchise-based tennis competition, has steadily grown its stature by assembling a competitive mix of top Indian players, established international names, and promising domestic talent. The association with JioHotstar is expected to accelerate audience expansion and enhance the league’s commercial position at a time when digital-first sports consumption is rapidly rising.
For JioHotstar, the deal adds tennis to a growing sports portfolio anchored by high-value properties such as the Indian Premier League, the Indian Super League, Pro Kabaddi League, and global cricket rights.
The Tennis Premier League is also expected to benefit commercially, with organisers anticipating increased sponsor interest driven by stronger digital visibility and measurable engagement metrics. The league’s multi-layer broadcast setup continues to evolve, with Sony Sports Network holding the linear television rights and SSEN serving as the digital content partner.
On the sporting side, Season 7 brings significant star power. The roster features top 50 world-ranked players, including Luciano Darderi, Alexandre Muller, and Damir Džumhur, alongside two-time Grand Slam champion Rohan Bopanna and a strong contingent of Indian and international professionals. The competitive depth signals the league’s ambition to elevate its on-court quality and fan appeal.
Season 7 of the TPL will stream live on JioHotstar from 9 to 14 December, starting daily at 4.30 PM. All matches will be played at the Gujarat University Tennis Stadium in Ahmedabad, marking the league’s most ambitious broadcast effort to date as it pushes toward broader national relevance.
