Toyota Australia and Cricket Australia (CA) have announced a major four-year extension of their partnership, solidifying their collaboration until the end of the 2028-29 cricket season.
This renewal continues a highly successful alliance that began in 2012, highlighting a deep shared commitment to developing and promoting cricket throughout Australia.
The comprehensive agreement ensures Toyota Australia’s ongoing support for all levels of Australian cricket, from fostering community engagement at the grassroots level to backing elite competition. This includes unwavering support for both the Australian Men’s and Women’s national cricket teams. Furthermore, Toyota will continue its sponsorship of Australia’s premier domestic T20 competitions, the KFC Big Bash League (BBL) and the Weber Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).
The partnership also extends to Cricket Australia’s vital programs dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion within the sport, ensuring cricket remains an accessible and welcoming environment for all Australians. Additionally, Toyota Australia will maintain its crucial role as the official automotive partner for each state cricket association, reinforcing its dedication to local and regional cricket initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, Ed Sanders, Chief Commercial Officer at Cricket Australia, said, “We are thrilled to extend our long-standing partnership with Toyota Australia, and we appreciate their continued support in growing cricket at the grassroots level.”
This four-year extension serves as a clear testament to the mutual dedication of Toyota Australia and Cricket Australia to fostering the sport’s holistic development, from nurturing budding talent in local communities to showcasing world-class cricket on the international stage. The announcement follows Toyota’s recent unveiling in May as a sponsor for the England, Scotland, and Ireland cricket teams, further demonstrating the company’s strategy to leverage the popularity of cricket to enhance its brand visibility globally.
This renewal comes as the Australian men’s team is currently engaged in a three-Test series in the West Indies, where they hold a 2-0 lead with one match remaining.
