Tottenham Hotspur have launched Hotspur Labs, a new venture platform in partnership with The Players Fund, as the Premier League club looks to create new commercial opportunities by backing high-growth businesses and emerging technologies.

The initiative makes Tottenham the first Premier League club to establish a dedicated venture platform of this kind. Unlike a conventional startup accelerator, Hotspur Labs is designed to give selected companies access to the club’s commercial and operational ecosystem, while creating opportunities for Tottenham to develop longer-term partnerships and, where appropriate, equity positions.

The programme will focus on businesses across areas including artificial intelligence, data and infrastructure, fan experience, commerce, mobility, sustainability, travel and destination, and workplace technology. Companies will be assessed against Tottenham’s strategic priorities, with shortlisted businesses presented to the club for consideration.

Ryan Norys, Chief Revenue Officer at Tottenham Hotspur, said, “Hotspur Labs is the next step on our journey to identifying more innovative ways to refine and diversify our revenue streams. By backing ambitious businesses early, we can help them reach new audiences while building meaningful partnerships with brands that share our culture and values. It is a model that creates genuine value on both sides, helping businesses grow whilst strengthening the commercial connections between the Club and our partners.”

Andy Marston, Managing Director of TPF Labs at The Players Fund, added, “Done well, this becomes a pipeline where the businesses we back today are the Club’s headline partners in a few years’ time. That’s the model we’re striving for, and it’s one we believe reshapes what a commercial relationship with a football club can look like.”

The initiative is being supported by TPF Labs, a newly established division of The Players Fund focused on developing venture and innovation infrastructure for sports rights-holders.

Tottenham’s 62,000-capacity stadium, global fan base, hospitality, retail, media and technology infrastructure provide potential real-world environments for companies to test and scale their products.

The model builds on The Players Fund’s work with Como 1907, which launched Como Ventures in 2025. For Tottenham, Hotspur Labs represents a broader shift towards treating the football club not only as a media and sponsorship property, but also as a venture and innovation platform.
