The English football club, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have secured a groundbreaking global partnership with Kraken, a leading cryptocurrency exchange.
This multi-year deal has marked Tottenham’s first venture into the burgeoning crypto and Web3 space. The pact has solidified the club’s reputation as a progressive club at the forefront of technological innovation.
The partnership transcends mere financial backing. The crypto exchange platform will serve as Spurs’ official crypto and web3 partner, crucial in educating fans about the evolving world of cryptocurrency and Web3 technology. By leveraging its expertise, the digital currency exchange platform will create engaging content and experiences that foster a deeper connection between the club and its global fanbase.
A key aspect of the deal is that the digital asset marketplace becomes the official sleeve partner for the club’s men’s and women’s teams. The brand logo will be prominently displayed on the sleeves of playing kits throughout the upcoming 2024/25 season, granting significant brand exposure for the crypto platform.
Commenting on the new partnership, Ryan Norys, Chief Revenue Officer, Tottenham Hotspur, said, “As a Club that aims to drive innovation in everything we do, we are delighted to partner with yet another forward-thinking brand in Kraken – a true leader in its field, recognised throughout the web3 industry for its emphasis on education around the crypto ecosystem. We look forward to bringing our fans a range of exciting events and experiences throughout the course of the partnership.”
Mayur Gupta, Kraken’s Chief Marketing Officer, added, “Spurs supporters and the crypto community both have an undeterred and relentless passion for what they believe in. Kraken has a vision that crypto, like football, should be accessible to everyone. We’re therefore thrilled to partner with Tottenham Hotspur to bring this inclusive financial technology to a larger audience of football fans.”
The partnership extends beyond the field, with a planned presence at F1® DRIVE London, the exhilarating karting experience at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This further underscores the commitment of both brands to providing fans with unique and engaging experiences.
