The Topps Company joined forces with UEFA as the official licensing partner of the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament. Following this development, Topps has become the exclusive partner for the UEFA EURO and future UEFA national team championships, delivering official stickers, trading cards, and accessories.
The Topps Company is a chewing gum, candy, and collectibles company based in the United States. Topps is best known as a top maker of American football, baseball, basketball, ice hockey, soccer, and other sports and non-sports themed trading cards. Fanatics announced in 2022 that they acquired the company for $500 million.
Topps and UEFA announced a partnership not just for UEFA EURO 2024 but also for UEFA EURO 2028, including the UEFA Nations League Finals and the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025. Topps has already teamed up with the UEFA Champions League and all other UEFA club competitions as the official partner.
Topps had also appointed football star José Mourinho as its EURO ambassador, who would personally pick the players to feature in Topps collections, as part of the introduction and activation of the collaboration.
“European football, particularly the UEFA Euros, has a huge fan following among the Indian youth. Some of the biggest names in football will be a part of the tournament, and we are delighted that we can bring Indian audiences closer to their favorite football stars through our exclusive trading cards and collectibles. Over the last few years, our football-based collections have performed exceedingly well in India, and we are really looking forward to unveiling what we have in store for our audience on the road to EURO 2024 and beyond,” said, Pravin Kalnawat, Head Business and Operations at Topps India.
