Topps has secured an exclusive long-term licensing agreement with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), further expanding its growing football collectibles portfolio and strengthening its position in one of the sport’s fastest-growing commercial markets.
Beginning in 2028, the agreement grants Topps exclusive rights to produce official trading cards, sticker collections, trading card games and related collectibles featuring Saudi Arabia’s men’s, women’s and youth national football teams. The deal also provides access to SAFF’s names, logos and crests, alongside exclusive collective player rights that allow the company to feature national team players in its products.
The partnership will enable Topps to create a wide range of premium collectibles, including sought-after autograph cards, patch cards and match-worn memorabilia cards, categories that have become increasingly valuable within the global sports collectibles industry.
Yasser Al Misehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, said, “Saudi football is experiencing unprecedented growth, both on and off the pitch, and this partnership with Topps reflects the increasing global interest in our national teams and football ecosystem. By partnering with a world-leading collectibles company and the iconic Topps brand, we will create meaningful new ways for fans to connect with our players and teams. Through innovative products, as well as exclusive Saudi national team trading card collections and special-edition collectible boxes, we will celebrate our football history while bringing supporters closer to the game.”
David Leiner, President of Trading Cards, Topps, added, “Topps is excited to bring its incredible innovation to this landmark partnership, developing unique products that will help bring fans closer to their favourite national players. The growth of the Saudi collectibles market has been explosive – one of the fastest-growing regions in the world in the space – and together we hope to elevate the collector experience and continue to grow the hobby in the Gulf.”
The agreement represents another significant milestone in Topps’ global football strategy. Since joining the Fanatics ecosystem, the company has assembled an extensive portfolio of football rights, including exclusive partnerships with the Premier League, Bundesliga, and UEFA club competitions. Topps is also set to become FIFA‘s exclusive collectibles partner from 2031.
The Saudi deal carries additional strategic significance given that Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, the first men’s World Cup to fall under Topps’ forthcoming FIFA licensing agreement. For SAFF, the partnership creates a new commercial revenue stream while supporting broader efforts to expand fan engagement, strengthen the national teams’ global visibility and capitalise on the Kingdom’s continued investment in football as a driver of sports and entertainment growth.
