Tokyo Olympics: Herbalife signs sponsorship deal with IOA for Indian Contingent

With brands like MPL, Amul, JSW, INOX group, Raymond and many more, the IOA has added Herbalife to the list in a sponsorship deal that was announced on Tuesday.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) roped in another sponsor in the form of Global nutrition company Herbalife for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2020. With only seven days left until the beginning of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 the IOA seems to have finally completed their sponsorship line-up.

With brands like MPL, Amul, JSW, INOX group, Raymond and many more, the IOA has added Herbalife to the list in a sponsorship deal that was announced on Tuesday.

Founded in 1980, Herbalife has been one of the leading nutrition brands in India for over two decades, offering a wide range of fitness commodities and targeting sports nutrition. Herbalife seems to be the perfect sponsor to represent team India in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2020 that are scheduled to start from the 23rd of July.

Over a group of about 100 athletes and sportsperson will be representing team India in the Olympics that includes big names like Mary Kom, Manika Batra and many more, the Olympics will be held behind closed doors with no audience allowed inside the stadium following the strict covid guidelines as the city of Tokyo was put under a state of emergency when it saw an increase in the infection rate of the virus.

The deal between Herbalife and the IOA has been reported to be worth over Rs 2.25 crore as stated by the Secretary-General of the IOA, Rajeev Mehta.
