In a groundbreaking move set to transform how football fans engage with major tournaments, the short-form video giant, TikTok, and the global sports entertainment platform, DAZN, have announced a strategic partnership for the highly anticipated FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

This collaboration promises an unparalleled, immersive experience, leveraging TikTok’s massive global community and DAZN’s extensive sports content.

The alliance aims to redefine fan interaction by seamlessly blending DAZN’s exclusive broadcast rights for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 with TikTok’s innovative and interactive platform. For the first time, all 63 matches of the expanded 32-team tournament will be live-streamed globally and free to view on the DAZN app, making the event more accessible to football enthusiasts worldwide.

At the heart of this initiative is a dedicated FIFA Club World Cup Hub on TikTok. This central digital destination will be a treasure trove of exclusive content, meticulously produced by DAZN specifically for the TikTok audience, offering behind-the-scenes glimpses of teams and players, quick match highlights for instant replays, creator and athlete takeovers providing fresh perspectives, real-time fan reactions fostering a dynamic community, and tailored DAZN original programming optimized for TikTok’s mobile-first experience.

Speaking on the occasion, Rollo Goldstaub, Global Head of Sports Partnerships at TikTok, said, “TikTok is transforming how fans engage with sports, making every moment more immersive, immediate and shareable. Partnering with DAZN allows us to bring the FIFA Club World Cup closer to fans than ever before, from behind-the-scenes access to the final whistle, capturing the heart of the action as it happens.”

Joe Caporoso, President at DAZN’s Whistle, added, “TikTok is the ideal partner to amplify the excitement of the FIFA Club World Cup. Together, we’re combining premium sports rights with the creativity of the TikTok community to deliver a new era of interactive fan experiences.”

This collaboration perfectly complements DAZN’s recently launched Global Football Creator Program, which seeks to engage over 100 digital creators worldwide, from passionate superfans to emerging storytellers. This creator-first strategy underscores a growing trend in sports media towards authentic, user-generated content that deeply resonates with audiences, ultimately enhancing the fan experience by offering diverse and personal perspectives.

Recent research by DAZN and GWI highlights the evolving consumption habits of football fans, with a staggering 93% expressing a desire to engage with the FIFA Club World Cup beyond live broadcasts. This significant demand for additional content – such as match highlights, player interviews, fan-generated content, and culturally-inspired storytelling – positions the TikTok-DAZN partnership to meet these preferences effectively. It acknowledges that modern sports consumption extends far beyond merely watching the game, embracing a more holistic and interactive digital experience.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025, with its expanded 32-team format, is poised to be a landmark event in global football. By making all matches free to view on DAZN and complementing this with an unparalleled TikTok content strategy, both platforms are set to maximize reach and engagement, bringing the beautiful game to a new generation of fans. This partnership further solidifies TikTok’s growing influence in the sports world, following successful collaborations with major entities like LALIGA, Juventus FC, the Saudi Pro League, and the International Paralympic Committee.
