Thibaut Courtois renews contract with Real Madrid CF

Thibaut Courtois will stay at Real Madrid till June 2026.

Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has extended his current contract till 2026 with Real Madrid CF. Courtois, who came to Los Blancos in 2018 has decided to commit his future at the Spanish club. He was signed by Real Madrid for an approximate fee of £35 million.

Real Madrid and Thibaut Courtois have agreed to extend the player’s contract for five more seasons, until June 30, 2026,” the club’s statement said.

He has renewed his contract which will ensure his stay at the Bernabeu till June 2026. Thibaut Courtois has been in very good form for Real Madrid CF in recent seasons. Moreover, he was one of the star performers when Real Madrid won the La Liga in 2019.

It’s an honour to have the opportunity to play for all these trophies. Personally, I hope to maintain and surpass the level I reached last season,” said Thibaut Courtois.

This extension is a reward for my efforts over the past year. It encourages me to work even harder and give my all to the best club in the world.”

Madrid got off to a winning start in their opening La Liga fixture with a 4-1 win over Alaves. It was Courtois’s 100th appearance in a Madrid shirt. David Alaba registered an assist in his first game.
