The Memento Group (TMG) has announced a new multi-year licence agreement with the Formula 1 team McLaren Racing that will allow authentic, race-used memorabilia to be sold through www.f1authentics.com – F1 official’s memorabilia platform.
The multi-year licence agreement will extend McLaren Racing’s relationship with The Memento Group until the end of the 2024 F1 season.
McLaren Racing will release official components and bodywork for the first time under the terms of the agreement, in addition to heritage items and racewear pieces that have been available on F1 Authentics since 2019.
Barry Gough, CEO of The Memento Group (TMG), owners of F1 Authentics, said, “McLaren is a name steeped in F1 history. It is the second most successful Formula One team having won 12 Drivers’ Championships, eight Constructors’ Championships, and 183 races – one of which was claimed as part of a fantastic 1-2 at last season’s Italian Grand Prix.
“As a team on the rise, and one with an extremely loyal fan base, this is a great time to enhance our partnership. It marks an important step in giving those fans exclusive access to authentic merchandise, the latest memorabilia and for the first time, race-used McLaren car parts and bodywork.”
F1 Authentics was introduced in 2019 with an online shop and auction featuring past and present F1 memorabilia, such as used racewear, bespoke show cars, and restored ex-race cars.
Each piece of memorabilia comes with a genuine hologram that can be digitally registered. F1 Authentics presents official licenced products in collaboration with F1 teams and drivers.
Recently, McLaren Racing also named Google as its new official partner for the McLaren Formula 1 team and the McLaren MX Extreme E team.
