Welsh Fire have strengthened their commercial portfolio during the ongoing 2026 season of The Hundred after announcing three strategic partnerships with YETI, Matchbook and Admiral, as the Cardiff-based franchise continues to blend commercial growth with community-focused initiatives.

The trio of agreements spans premium consumer products, sports betting and corporate social responsibility, highlighting Welsh Fire’s ambition to diversify their sponsorship portfolio while capitalising on the growing commercial appeal of The Hundred and the increasing prominence of both men’s and women’s cricket.

The premium outdoor lifestyle brand YETI has joined the franchise as an official partner, supplying drinkware and hydration products to both the men’s and women’s squads throughout the competition. The partnership also includes matchday activations and digital fan engagement initiatives at Sophia Gardens, reinforcing YETI’s expanding investment in elite sport.

Ian Davis, Head of Partnerships at Welsh Fire, said, “We’re delighted to have YETI supporting Welsh Fire this season. YETI’s reputation for quality and innovation makes them a fantastic addition as we continue to grow our fanbase and deliver an exceptional matchday experience.”

The collaboration further strengthens YETI’s presence in professional sport, where the brand has increasingly aligned itself with high-performance environments and premium sporting experiences. For Welsh Fire, the agreement adds another globally recognised consumer brand to a growing list of commercial partners.

The franchise has also unveiled online betting exchange Matchbook as its new official sleeve partner, with the company’s branding featuring on the sleeves of both the men’s and women’s playing shirts throughout The Hundred.

Beyond on-field visibility, the agreement grants Matchbook a range of commercial rights, including digital marketing opportunities, hospitality packages and fan engagement activations designed to maximise brand exposure during the tournament. Sleeve sponsorship has become one of the most valuable commercial assets in modern sport, offering brands consistent broadcast visibility while enabling teams to further monetise their matchday inventory.

Ed Rice, Chief Commercial Officer of Welsh Fire, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Matchbook as our Official Sleeve Partner for the 2026 season. Matchbook has built a strong reputation through innovation and customer engagement, and we’re excited to work together to create meaningful moments for fans throughout the season. This partnership represents another significant step forward for Welsh Fire as we continue to grow the Club’s commercial platform and strengthen relationships with leading brands that share our vision for the future.”

Completing the franchise’s latest wave of commercial announcements is a purpose-led partnership with Welsh insurer Admiral, focused on creating career pathways for women through mentoring, networking, leadership workshops and professional development programmes.

Rather than serving as a conventional sponsorship centred solely on brand exposure, the initiative seeks to leverage the growing influence of women’s cricket to inspire greater female participation across traditionally underrepresented industries. The programme will connect Welsh Fire athletes with Admiral employees and aspiring professionals, creating opportunities for knowledge-sharing, leadership development and career progression.

Michelle Leavesley, Chief Sustainability Officer at Admiral Group, said, “Through this partnership, we can learn from the growth of women’s cricket and apply those insights across our supply chain. While cricket and garages may seem very different, we’ve identified similarities in areas such as recruitment, leadership and creating inclusive environments that are helping to shape future programmes. Together, we want to help more women see a future in traditionally underrepresented careers, creating pathways into skills, employment and leadership that benefit individuals, businesses and communities for years to come.”

The partnership also reflects the growing role of environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives in sports sponsorship, with brands increasingly seeking collaborations capable of delivering measurable social impact alongside commercial value.

The announcements come as Welsh Fire enjoy a promising start to this year’s competition. The men’s side has opened its campaign with back-to-back victories, while the women’s team rebounded from an opening-match defeat with an emphatic 60-run win in their second fixture. Both teams now face a demanding run of matches against Trent Rockets, Birmingham Phoenix and Southern Brave as they look to build momentum through the remainder of The Hundred.

Collectively, the three partnerships underline Welsh Fire’s evolving commercial strategy as The Hundred continues to establish itself as one of the UK’s most attractive properties for sponsors. By combining traditional revenue-generating agreements with purpose-driven collaborations, the franchise is strengthening its commercial foundations while creating broader value for supporters, partners and the local community.
