Spanish tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz has been unveiled as the new global brand ambassador for Ant International in a multi-year agreement that further highlights the growing intersection between global sport and financial technology.
The partnership sees the seven-time Grand Slam champion lead international campaigns for Ant International’s flagship platforms, including Alipay+, Antom, and WorldFirst, as the company accelerates its efforts to expand global digital payment solutions and cross-border commerce services.
Ant International, the international business arm of Ant Group, has rapidly strengthened its position within the global fintech ecosystem, operating across more than 30 offices worldwide. The company currently connects over 150 million merchants with more than two billion user accounts globally while also supporting 1.6 million SMEs and helping underserved businesses and individuals gain access to financial services and credit solutions.
The collaboration represents another significant step in Ant International’s wider global marketing strategy, using elite athletes and major sporting properties to build worldwide consumer visibility ahead of a packed international sports calendar over the coming years.
Commenting on the partnership, Ant International CEO, Peng Yang, said, “Carlos is not only a sporting champion, but the very personification of the core values of tennis for fans worldwide: boundless ambition, unwavering dedication, scalpel precision in delivery, and sportsmanship. These qualities unite the world of tennis and the world of tech. Through extensive partnerships, we will keep pushing the frontier of global payment and commerce in the same spirit.”
Expressing his enthusiasm, Alcaraz added, “Throughout my career, I’ve learned that the greatest impact is made when we push boundaries and strive for excellence. What truly drew me to Ant International is its unwavering commitment to financial inclusivity. I am eager to support initiatives that bring essential financial services to underserved communities around the world.”
The agreement adds another major global brand to Alcaraz’s rapidly expanding commercial portfolio, which already includes partnerships with Infosys, BMW, YoPRO, Babolat, and Louis Vuitton.
From a sports business perspective, the deal also reinforces tennis’ growing importance as a premium global marketing platform for fintech and technology brands seeking year-round international exposure across Europe, Asia, North America, and the Middle East.
The partnership comes just months after Ant International expanded its sports sponsorship portfolio through a regional partnership with the Argentina national football team ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, underlining the company’s increasingly aggressive push into global sports marketing.
