TECNO Mobile partners with JetSynthesys’ Skyesports for COD Mobile India POVA Cup

Season 1 of the contest will feature some of the best teams throughout the country competing in a strenuous Call of Duty battle.

TECNO Mobile, the premium brand smartphone brand, has formed a partnership with JetSynthesys’ Skyesports, South Asia’s leading esports tournament organiser, for an exciting yearlong mobile gaming championship – the Call of Duty Mobile India POVA Cup. The two organisations will collaborate to hold exhilarating Call of Duty: Mobile tournaments all across 2023.

Season 1 of the contest will feature some of the best teams throughout the country competing in a strenuous Call of Duty battle. TECNO POVA cellphones would be capturing Skyesports’ grassroots-level penetration and elaborating esports events in this gaming extravaganza to establish a phenomenal connection with Zillenials who are passionate about mobile gaming.

The championship’s matches will be live-streamed on Skyesports’ official social media channels in four different languages, namely English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, in order to successfully communicate with gaming enthusiasts from all over the nation.

The Call of Duty Mobile POVA Cup is set to be one of India’s largest esports competitions for the mobile shooter. It will have a year-long layout that spans multiple seasons, allowing both amateur and professional players to develop their skills and compete. These seasons will ultimately result in exciting Grand Finals at the end of 2023.

Activision’s Call of Duty video game franchise is a first-person shooter. The popular game series’ mobile version was released in 2019 and has since become one of the most popular multiplayer shooter titles in India and around the globe.

In terms of total downloads, India became the biggest consumer of mobile games in FY 2022. Presently, India’s market is three times that of the United States and nearly two and a half times that of China. Total game downloads have increased from 6.5 billion to 15 billion since 2020.
