Technics lands audio partnership with PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions

The initiative aims to enhance the live spectator experience by providing fans with unique insight into the tactical decisions behind each shot.

Technics, the premium audio brand of Panasonic, has been named the audio, headphones and earbuds partner of the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions under a multi-year marketing partnership running through 2029.

As part of the agreement, Technics will introduce the Technics Sound Deck, a new on-site fan activation set to debut at select PGA TOUR events. The experience will allow spectators to wear Technics over-ear headphones and listen to a dedicated audio feed featuring real-time conversations between players and their caddies as they discuss strategy during tournament rounds.

The initiative aims to enhance the live spectator experience by providing fans with unique insight into the tactical decisions behind each shot. According to the PGA TOUR, greater access to player-caddie communications was one of the most requested features in the organisation’s Fan Forward survey, which gathered feedback on how to improve engagement at tournaments.

Through the partnership, Technics will also showcase its premium range of headphones and wireless earbuds across tournament activations and marketing platforms linked to the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions.

The collaboration also builds on Panasonic’s broader presence in professional golf. In 2025, the company became the official projector partner of TGL presented by SoFi, providing the large-scale projection technology used for the league’s simulator-driven matches.

The new partnership is expected to roll out across multiple PGA TOUR events in the coming seasons, further expanding technology-driven fan experiences at tournaments.
