The new franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Team Ahmedabad has signed a sponsorship deal with the fintech company, Slice, according to SportMint sources. The deal has been reportedly signed for around Rs 22 crore per year for three seasons. Ahead of the commencement of the IPL 2022, the CVC Capital Partners-backed Team Ahmedabad will aim to sign some lucrative sponsorship deals.
In this association, Slice has been appointed as the official principal and front-of-shirt sponsor of the franchise. Following the agreement, Slice is bound to receive massive exposure during all the fixtures of the Team Ahmedabad.
The leading credit card challenger company, Slice aims to target India’s youth. The fintech company looks forward to creating a simple, smart and transparent financial platform that would reinvent the financial experience for the millenials. The company had raised $220 million last year in a Series B round of funding and have commenced issuing 2,00,000 cards every month.
Slice made its sports sponsorship debut last week when the new age company signed the front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with the Mumbai Indians. As per reports, the collaboration has been inked for three years for an estimated amount of Rs 90 crore.
