The Chinese electronics entity, TCL has unveiled a new brand campaign starring players of the 2016 champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The campaign’s goal is to raise TCL’s profile among cricket enthusiasts.
The campaign began with the release of a digital video featuring members of the SRH team, such as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Washington Sundar, and Umran Malik. The goal of the brand film is to generate an atmosphere of relatability and a strong connection with the viewers. TCL used social media channels to bring cricket lovers to the table and improve brand visibility with creatives, AR filters, digital movies, and quiz challenges.
A ‘Meet and Greet’ featuring SRH players Aiden Markram, Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Agarwal and Glenn Phillips was also organised, as part of the campaign. The event’s goal was to provide a forum for audiences to meet players while also being acquainted with TCL.
Commenting on the campaign, Philip Xia, CEO, TC India, said, “The cricket league started a month ago and the time frame of the campaign was perfect to meet our campaign’s objective. We believe the pioneering products of TCL in tandem with a trophy-winning cricket team of SRH were recognized as a potentially powerful combination to bring high-end technology to cricketing fans nationwide.”
TCL Electronics, which is based in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, manufactures, creates, and produces television sets, mobile phones, air conditioners, washing machines, and small electronic goods.
