Tata Steel becomes official partner of FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023

The 2023 championship, which will be held in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela in Odisha next year, will be the 15th championship.

Hockey India has announced a new sponsorship agreement with a steelmaking company, Tata Steel. With this deal, the brand is set to serve as the official partner of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023.

The 2023 championship, which will be held in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela in Odisha next year, will be the 15th championship and India’s fourth time organizing the event, with the first taking place in 1982 in Mumbai.

Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Tata Steel into our family as an official partner for the Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023. They have made a tremendous contribution to promoting Indian hockey, elevating the sport to new heights, and making this World Cup even greater. We look forward to a fruitful association.”

Furthermore, the championship was held in Delhi in 2010 and in Odisha in 2018. The championship, which will be held next year, is expected to draw 16 countries.
