Targobank extends sponsorship deal with DFB

Targobank will continue to be an official partner of the DFB-Pokal till 2026, extending a partnership that began in 2012.

A German bank operating in the retail, business and corporate customer segments, Targobank has renewed its sponsorship deal with the German Football Association (DFB). The new extended deal has been signed for four years, which is from 2022-23 to 2025-26.

Targobank will continue to be an official partner of the DFB-Pokal till 2026, extending a partnership that began in 2012.

Targobank will show up in social media presentations of the cup draw and match settings. Furthermore, the company will also have a brand presence on LED and static boards and coaches’ benches for all DFB-Pokal televised games on free-to-air television.

As per the DFB, Targobank uses the sponsorship to raise brand awareness and launch joint activations, such as the ongoing ‘My Fan Moment’ format, which allows fans to attend DFB-Pokal as VIP guests.

The Targobank contract extension comes as the DFB looks to extend or replace SportFive‘s two-year agreement to provide LED perimeter advertising at Germany’s international fixtures and DFB-Pokal matches.

The DFB had decided to invite organisations to articulate their interest in giving and functioning LED and virtual overlay perimeter for the aforementioned events, in February. The DFB has decided to offer a four-year contract that consists of approximately 140 matches and takes place from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2026.
