Tamil Thalaivas sign SportZchain as NFT partner

Other than SportZchain, Tamil Thalaivas has two other partners, Trak Only and Parimatch news.

The Pro Kabaddi League outfit, Tamil Thalaivas has penned down a partnership with the blockchain-powered platform, SportZchain. Following this deal, SportZchain has been labelled as the official NFT partner.

The association between both entities aims to change the paradigm of the sport and also enhance the fan engagement of the club during the upcoming season of the Pro Kabaddi League.

SportZchain is a blockchain-powered platform for fans to crowd-manage their favourite teams, games, leagues, events, and more. A platform that provides fans with direct power to not only follow & interact but actively ENGAGE and PARTICIPATE in various binding and non-binding decisions of the team.

The platform provides sports teams & leagues with blockchain-based tools which helps them better in engaging and monetizing their audiences. They help the sports team to create an “Invested Fan” base and declutter noise present in existing social media platforms.

Speaking about this latest collaboration, Siddharth Jaiswal, Founder and CEO of SportZchain, said, “We are thrilled to associate with Tamil Thalaivas–a team that embodies the true spirit of Kabaddi through its pro-fan stance and phenomenal history. Kabaddi has originating links from Tamil Nadu, because of which the team has a vehement fan base in almost every region of the country, especially in its home state. However, most sports enthusiasts don’t have a platform to get directly involved with their favorite sports teams. With our blockchain-based platform, both the sports teams and fans get a common platform to engage effectively while earning mutual monetary rewards. Our partnership with a Kabaddi team further strengthen our position as a company which is very much focused on strengthening Indian sports ecosystem and Indian fan community. We are incredibly excited to have Tamil Thalaiva on board and look forward to empower fans and take fan engagement to new heights.

“We are thrilled to welcome SportZchain into the Tamil Thalaivas family. We were keen to look at new and more innovative ways to enhance our fan experience, and together with SportZchain, we feel we can build something very unique to engage our enthusiastic supporters. I thoroughly look forward to a long and fruitful association together,” said Nikhil Bhardwaj, Director, Tamil Thalaivas.

The franchise first made its debut in the Pro Kabaddi League back in 2017 during season five of the tournament.

Other than SportZchain, Tamil Thalaivas has two other partners, as they signed Trak Only as their official kit manufacturer this season. While Parimatch News has joined hands as the main sponsor of the franchise.

This year the PKL will return for its eighth season with the matches starting from December 22. On the first day of the new season there would be three matches played, first between Bengaluru Bulls and U Mumba, second, Telugu Titans and Tamils Thalaivas, and lastly, Bengal Warriors will take on UP Yoddha.
