Tamil Nadu Premier League enrolls Sportradar to monitor malpractices

Sportradar's service of Fraud Detection System tracks betting data via online channels in real-time.

World’s leading supplier of sports integrity solutions, Sportradar will monitor the upcoming three seasons of Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). Sportradar has been hired by Tamil Nadu Premier League to detect any fraudulent activities in the next three seasons. In this agreement, all fixtures will be monitored by Sportradar’s integrity services Fraud Detection System to provide safeguard and secure the league.

Sportradar’s service of Fraud Detection System tracks betting data via online channels in real-time. Its analyst will review each game that will be played during TNPL with the latest sports data and technology to prevent any kind of malpractices during the games being played.

Apart from detecting fraudulent activities, Sportradar also became the official distribution partner of the league for the upcoming three seasons for the collection and distribution of match related data globally.

TNCA secretary R S Ramasaamy said that, “This was the need of the hour. The partnership with sportradar is an extension of our intent to make TNPL a secure and world class product.”

Mona Motwani of the Sportradar added, ”The TNPL partnership comes two months after Sportradar acquired InteractSport, a sports data and technology company with partnerships across a range of leading sporting organisations with expertise in cricket”.

These lucrative sports leagues are often under the surveillance of fraudulent activities and sports betters can easily carry out their activities without any monitoring until now but with companies like Sportradar managing the leagues, the tournament will function smoothly without any illegal activities.
