In the much-awaited final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, New Zealand will be facing Australia. The final frontier of the competition will be played at the Dubai International Stadium, Dubai on Sunday, November 14 at 7:30 PM IST.
New Zealand became the first team to qualify for the final of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup. The Kiwis snatched a victory in the semi-finals against the in-form England team in a dramatic fashion. Darryl Mitchell, Devon Conway and Jimmy Neesham’s heroics guided the Blackcaps to their first-ever T20 World Cup final. Kane Williamson’s most experienced pacers, Tim Southee and Trent Boult have done incredibly well in the tough UAE conditions and will count on them for a breakthrough in the game. New Zealand’s batting line-up had accustomed to the conditions in the UAE and has managed to score runs frequently in the previous games.
On the other end, Australia powered into the final after beating the favourites Pakistan in the semi-final earlier this week. Mathew Wade’s three consecutive sixes sealed the game for the Aussies after making a spectacular comeback at the back end of the innings. Even after struggling in the shortest format before the T20 World Cup, the Australian team have managed to storm into the finals. The prime Aussie bowler Mitchell Starc has been highly effective along with Adam Zampa who has done well in the spinning condition. David Warner has been carrying Australia’s batting line-up in an unfavourable batting environment.
