In the 42nd match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, India will be facing Namibia at the Dubai International Stadium, Dubai on Monday at 7:30 PM IST.
India will be heading into this fixture on the back of an emphatic eight-wicket victory against Scotland on Friday. India’s batting artillery has been firing lately, which is a good sign for the former T20 World Cup champions. India currently have the highest NRR in Group 2 after chasing the target of 86 within seven overs against Scotland. The Indian team’s fate will be determined on Sunday when Afghanistan faces New Zealand. If the underdogs, Afghanistan beat the Kiwis in their next game and also if India outplays Namibia on Monday, the hosts will qualify for the semi-finals.
On the other hand, Namibia has had a decent tournament so far. They cleared the qualifier’s round and booked a berth for themselves in the Super 12. Namibia registered a narrow victory against Scotland in Super 12 and earned two points. Namibia’s T20 World Cup campaign has come to an end but will be aiming to put up a fight against the Indian team.
