The T20 Mumbai League held its season three auction on May 7, 2025. Eight sides paid INR 7.79 crores to assemble competitive 18-member squads for the forthcoming campaign, which will take place at Wankhede Stadium from May 26 to June 8.
Atharva Ankolekar became the most expensive player in the T20 Mumbai League 2025 auction, with Eagle Thane Strikers shelling out INR 16.25 lakh.
Over 280 players were included in the auction, with all-rounders being prioritised. Musheer Khan (ARCS Andheri) and Sairaj Patil (Eagle Thane Strikers) were signed for INR 15 lakhs apiece. Rising Indian Premier League (IPL) stars Ayush Mhatre (INR 14.75 lakh, Triumph Knights) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (INR 14 lakh, SoBo Falcons) attracted significant bids. Akash Parkar, a development player, was acquired for INR 11.25 lakh, which was more than five times his basic price.
MCA President Ajinkya Naik, said, “It’s truly encouraging to see emerging players gaining the recognition they deserve. This league continues to serve as a platform to identify and promote promising cricketing talent. The strategic approach of teams during today’s auction reflects their deep commitment to the league and its vision. With a balanced mix of experienced players and exciting talent, fans can look forward to high-voltage action as we aim to set a new benchmark for domestic T20 cricket.”

The league has top-tier icon players such as Suryakumar Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Shivam Dube, Shardul Thakur, Sarfaraz Khan, and Tushar Deshpande, paving the way for an exciting third season.
Suryakumar Yadav, an Icon Player of Triumph Knights Mumbai North East, said, “You must have seen in 2018, Shivam Dubey had a terrific T20 Mumbai League season and then he went on to make a name for himself. Similarly, having such league for your state is I think a big boost for all the cricketers across categories. So I think it’s a good thing and hopefully it [the league] happens every year and we get a lot of players.”
