The deal has been signed for three years and will see Swissquote become the first online bank and a Swiss company to complete a UEFA club competition deal.
The deal will run from the 2021-22 season and will finish after the 2023-24 season of the club competitions. The deal will see Swissquote receive exposure through advertisements, stadium hospitality, and on-site experiences that will run throughout every match of the season for the next three years.
Marc Bürki, chief executive of Swissquote said, “We are convinced that the strengthening of our brand in Europe will fuel our growth. The UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europe Conference League comprise ambitious teams and players who work hard to make it to the top. The same applies to Swissquote, we are an innovative challenger bank that is working hard to become the preferred bank for ambitious traders and investors. We are also proud to be part of the exclusive club of global brands that will shape European club football as a UEFA partner in the years to come.”
The deal will come to benefit Swissquote and help them increase its global outreach as both the club competitions have large fanbases around the world.
Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA marketing director said, “This year’s introduction of the Europa Conference League with the Europa League provides an enhanced pan-European marketing platform for brands such as Swissquote which is looking to further expand its horizons.”
