The English Football League (EFL) team, Swansea City have onboarded Visit Central Florida as the destination partner for the 2024–25 season.
The renewed agreement will see the travel and tourism firm’s logo featured on the sleeve of the Swans’ home, away, and third kits this season, with one lucky Swans fan winning an unforgettable adventure during the 2024-25 season.
Notably, Visit Central Florida is situated in Polk County, Florida, and Lakeland, the area’s main city, and it gets the name Swans City due to the existence of the species.
Lee Merrells, Head of Partnerships, Swansea City, said, “We are delighted to have agreed another season-long partnership with Visit Central Florida. This is a partnership which demonstrates that this is a football club which attracts global interest and attention, particularly in the US where we have large fanbase and committed fan groups. We also feel that Visit Central Florida and ourselves share the same community and family values. Hopefully our fans will recognise that Visit Central Florida has a lot to offer as a holiday destination.”
Mark Jackson, Director of Visit Central Florida, said, “Polk County has a historic connection with the United Kingdom, which today remains one of our best overseas markets. Central Florida, thanks to our partners at the Florida Youth Soccer Association and Swan City FC, is a hotbed of Florida football. We’re thrilled to continue supporting Swansea City as their official destination partner.”
Furthermore, visitors to Polk County can take advantage of a variety of activities, such as LEGOLAND Florida Resort, Peppa Pig Theme Park, and Bok Tower Gardens, as well as water sports and fishing on one of the county’s approximately 550 lakes.
It also features ample wide-open spaces that meet dazzling lakes, aromatic orange orchards, intriguing attractions, and unique downtowns, as well as convenient access to both Orlando and the Gulf and Atlantic beaches.
