Wet & Forget, the New Zealand-based cleaning solutions company, has signed on as the new front-of-shirt partner for New Zealand Cricket’s Super Smash competition.
The agreement covers both the men’s and women’s tournaments for the 2025 to 2026 season, positioning a widely recognised Kiwi brand at the centre of NZC’s domestic T20 product.
New Zealand Cricket confirmed that the partnership provides Wet & Forget with primary front-of-shirt branding across all six Super Smash teams throughout the summer window. The upcoming season features an expanded match schedule, increased free-to-air and digital coverage and a renewed focus on family-oriented matchday experiences.
NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink said, “We’re delighted to welcome Wet & Forget into the New Zealand Cricket family as our new Super Smash front-of-shirt partner. Super Smash plays a key role in connecting families and young fans with the game over summer, and Wet & Forget is a brand that’s equally embedded in Kiwi homes and communities. This partnership strengthens the commercial platform for Super Smash and supports our wider ambition to grow the reach and relevance of cricket across New Zealand.”
Wet & Forget Chief Executive Andre Gargiulo added, “We’re incredibly proud to partner with New Zealand Cricket and to see Wet & Forget on the front of the Super Smash playing shirts this season. Cricket over summer is part of the fabric of Kiwi life – from families watching under the sun to kids replicating their heroes in the backyard – and that aligns perfectly with who we are as a brand. We’re looking forward to bringing the partnership to life for fans around the country and supporting the continued growth of our summer game.”
The deal marks a notable step into mainstream sports sponsorship for Wet & Forget, which operates more than 40 retail stores across New Zealand and has built strong national recognition through its outdoor and home-cleaning portfolio. The partnership gives the company consistent visibility across broadcast, digital platforms and matchday environments during peak holiday viewership.
For NZC, the addition of Wet & Forget further strengthens the organisation’s commercial framework. The Super Smash already features KFC as naming rights partner, alongside long-standing relationships with ANZ, Ford and other major domestic and international brands.
The 2025 to 2026 Super Smash season begins on Boxing Day and features 64 matches, including 30 double-headers across a 32-day round-robin window from December 26 to January 26. Finals week will take place at Christchurch’s Hagley Oval on February 27, 28 and March 1.
Central Stags enter the season as defending men’s champions, while Wellington Blaze hold the women’s title from the 2024 to 2025 campaign.
The opening fixture will be held at Seddon Park in Hamilton, where the Northern Brave men’s team will face the Auckland Aces. The Auckland Aces women’s team will also begin their campaign on the same day.
