The Super League Kerala (SLK), a premier football tournament in the southern Indian state, has inked a new sponsorship association with Peekay Steel, the flagship company of PeekayGroup.
With this deal, the brand has been named the league’s official strength partner.
The league announced the arrangement on its social media accounts, with the caption, “Kerala, are you ready to feel the steel on the field? We’re thrilled to welcome Peekay Steel as the official Strength Partner of #SuperLeagueKerala. Together, let’s forge an unbreakable bond with football.”
Peekay Steel Castings, the PeekayGroup’s main company, produces and supplies steel castings for significant industry players such as GE, Cameron, Alstom, BHEL, Flowserve, and Emerson, to mention a few. The company was founded in 1991 and generates an annual revenue of $50 million. Notably, the dynamic, tech-savvy company has grown by 50% last year.
Recently, the league also onboarded the Mahindra Group as the title sponsor.
The Mahindra Super League Kerala is slated to commence on Saturday, September 7, 2024, with the goal of showcasing local footballers’ exceptional potential and passion, providing them with a platform to compete at the greatest level. Six franchisees will compete in the event, which will be held at four different locations in the state: Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode and Manjeri.
