SkillBox has made its entry into the sports industry by partnering with Super League Kerala (SLK) as the exclusive ticketing partner for Season 3, expanding the live entertainment company’s technology offering into one of India’s most established football markets.
The partnership will see SkillBox manage ticketing for the third edition of the Kerala-based football league, which is scheduled to begin on September 25. Tickets will be available through the SkillBox and Super League Kerala platforms, bringing the company’s ticketing and event-technology infrastructure into the league’s matchday operations.
For SkillBox, however, the partnership represents a broader strategic move beyond ticket sales. The company said it has invested in technology and infrastructure covering ticketing, access management, fan data, payments and digital engagement, with the aim of building a dedicated sports vertical.
Anmol Kukreja, CEO and Co-Founder of SkillBox, said, “SkillBox’s partnership with the Super League Kerala marks an important step in our expansion into sports. Over the past few years, we’ve invested significantly in building technology and infrastructure specifically for the sports ecosystem — from ticketing and access management to fan data, payments and digital engagement. We believe this foundation can help leagues and teams build stronger, more connected fan experiences, both inside and beyond the stadium.
“Kerala has one of the most passionate football communities in India, which makes Super League Kerala an exciting platform for us to begin this journey. For SkillBox, this is bigger than ticketing — it’s about building a deeper sports vertical across technology, fan engagement, data and on-ground experiences, and taking what we learn here to sporting properties across the country.”
Mathew Joseph, Director & Chief Executive Officer, Super League Kerala, added, “Season 3 of Super League Kerala is about taking Kerala football to the next level. Our partnership with Skillbox strengthens our commitment to creating a stronger football ecosystem — connecting talent, clubs, fans and opportunities. Kerala has the passion; together, we are building the platform to turn that passion into a sustainable football movement with a global footprint.”
SLK enters its third season after reporting growth across both stadium attendance and television reach. Cumulative stadium attendance increased from 451,892 in Season 1 to 547,693 in Season 2, while television reach rose from 12.76 million to 25.32 million.
Season 3 will feature six clubs: Calicut FC, Forca Kochi FC, Kannur Warriors FC, Malappuram FC, Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC and Thrissur Magic FC.
The financial terms and duration of the SkillBox partnership have not been disclosed.
