Sunderland AFC Women, the Women’s Super League 2 team, have announced a new partnership with Elliott James (EJ Legal), a specialist legal recruitment consultancy.

As part of the deal, the brand has become the team’s official back-of-shorts partner for the 2026-27 season. Elliott James’ brand will appear on the back of shorts for the upcoming Barclays WSL2 season, including home, away, and third kits.

Elliott James (EJ Legal) is a legal business with its headquarters currently on Fawcett Street in the core of the city, specialising in residential and commercial conveyancing, property investment, dispute resolution and litigation, wills, power of attorney, and probate services.

SAFC Women CEO, James Gray, said, “We are pleased to be working alongside Grant and his team as we continue to grow the profile of the women’s game and create new opportunities for our partners to engage with our passionate fanbase. Partnerships such as this are a great opportunity to showcase the strength of businesses within our region, while providing a platform to build meaningful relationships both on and off the pitch. We’re looking forward to working closely with the Elliott James Legal team throughout the season and seeing what we can achieve together.”

EJ Legal owner, Berni Sullivan, added, “EJ Legal are proud to be supporting SAFC Women in what we believe will be a breakthrough season for us both. We have big plans of our own for the year ahead, and we’re delighted to be taking that journey alongside the team. Following our recent rebrand, we’ve opened a new office on Fawcett Street in the heart of Sunderland — a site that has housed a legal practice serving Sunderland residents since 1880. We’re committed to continuing that legacy and supporting our Wearside community for generations to come.”
