NASCAR, the top stock car racing organization, and Straight Talk Wireless, a leading provider of prepaid wireless service, have joined forces in a multi-year partnership.
This partnership has designated Straight Talk Wireless as the official wireless partner of the racing league.
This strategic alliance has brought together the high-octane world of racing with the convenience and affordability of Straight Talk’s mobile plans.
The centrepiece of the partnership is Straight Talk’s title sponsorship of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoff race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Renamed the “Straight Talk Wireless 400”, the October 27 race offers a massive platform for Straight Talk to connect with motor racing fans nationwide.
This partnership extends far beyond the race track. Straight Talk will have a prominent presence at all stock car racing-owned events, offering fans exciting activations and exclusive promotions to interact with the brand. The company will also create customized plans catering to speed racing enthusiasts, showcasing its dedication to delivering exceptional value to dedicated fans.
Cheryl Gresham, CMO of Verizon Value, said, “We’re excited to come together with NASCAR as there is so much overlap between Straight Talk customers and NASCAR fans. This partnership is very fitting. Our Straight Talk customers appreciate real value and reliable service wherever they are. As they experience the legendary NASCAR series this year, we look forward to meeting them at the track.”
Michelle Byron, NASCAR Executive Vice President and Chief Partnership and Licensing Officer, said, “Straight Talk Wireless is such a recognizable brand and one that shares NASCAR’s priorities in providing tremendous value for its customers and their families. We are thrilled to have Straight Talk Wireless join the NASCAR family as an Official Partner, both at the league and track level.”
This collaboration is expected to fuel significant growth for both parties. The motorsport leverages the extensive reach of Straight Talk Wireless, while the brand benefits from the immense popularity of the cup series.
Straight Talk Wireless, available exclusively at Walmart or online, provides a variety of value-based plans, including flexible month-to-month options for budget-conscious customers seeking reliable service.
Recently, the racing league also announced its first licensing arrangement with Lululemon.
The NASCAR Cup Series continues with the Cook Out 400 on August 11 (3:30 AM IST) at Richmond Raceway. Chevrolet currently leads the manufacturers’ championship with 799 points, followed by Toyota (786 points) and Ford (770 points).
