Sports AI and data specialist, Stats Perform, has been appointed as FIFA’s first-ever official worldwide betting data and betting streaming rights distributor, a landmark development in the governance and commercial management of football betting data.

Under the agreement, Stats Perform has secured exclusive global rights to collect and distribute official FIFA betting data and betting-grade live streams to licensed sportsbooks and regulated betting operators worldwide. The partnership spans a broad portfolio of FIFA competitions, including the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, as well as FIFA youth and age-group tournaments.

As part of the deal, Stats Perform’s RunningBall team will collect and exclusively distribute ultra-fast official FIFA betting data to licensed sports betting operators. The data will be used across modelling, trading, settlement, and in-play front-end applications, where speed and accuracy are critical. In parallel, Stats Perform’s Opta team will provide official player statistics, advanced insights, live scores, and match trackers to sportsbooks, strengthening the depth and reliability of betting products linked to FIFA competitions.

The agreement also includes the official distribution of live FIFA betting match video streams to customers of licensed sports betting operators in selected territories. This will feature exclusive betting streams from major tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027, delivered via Stats Perform’s AI-enhanced Bet LiveStreams service.

Romy Gai, Chief Business Officer at FIFA, said, “We are delighted to partner with Stats Perform, a global leader in sports data. This innovative partnership will create great opportunities to deliver official products for the benefit of the game and its fans.”

Carl Mergele, Chief Executive Officer at Stats Perform, added, “FIFA competitions represent the pinnacle of the world’s biggest game.  Our clients will be delighted we’re able to add FIFA competitions to our Opta and RunningBall official betting data portfolio, and our innovative, AI-enriched Bet LiveStreams service. We share FIFA’s vision to help the magic of the beautiful game be felt more deeply, by more fans, worldwide.”

In addition to data and streaming services, Stats Perform’s Integrity team will provide support to FIFA’s integrity unit, including monitoring and advisory services related to FIFA+ Member Association content covered under the partnership. This element of the agreement is designed to enhance oversight, transparency, and early detection of suspicious betting activity.

For FIFA, the appointment marks its first move towards a fully centralised global betting data distribution model. The structure allows the governing body to retain tighter control over how its competitions are monetised in regulated betting markets, while establishing a clear and compliant revenue stream without direct involvement in consumer-facing gambling promotion.

For Stats Perform, the deal further strengthens its position as a leading global provider of sports data, AI-driven analytics, and integrity services. Already embedded across major leagues, federations, media platforms, and betting operators, the FIFA partnership significantly expands the company’s presence across the world’s most-watched sport.

More broadly, the agreement underlines a growing trend across global sport, where official betting data is increasingly viewed as a core intellectual property asset. As betting markets continue to mature, rights holders are prioritising exclusive, centralised data partnerships to protect integrity, improve product quality, and reduce reliance on unofficial data sources.
