Sports data and technology company Stats Perform recently announced its data rights deal with the Italian top-flight better known as Serie A. The deal will see Stats Perform become the official betting and data rights partner of the league.
Stats Perform will be covering every aspect of Italian football that includes the Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup.
The deal has been reported to be worth over $620 million which is 45 per cent more valuable than the previous data rights deal Serie A had with IMG.
Serie A invited bids for several packages in July, Stats Perform bagged the majority of them by securing A, B, C, D and E in the bids.
The deal will see Stats Perform enhance its global portfolio, outreach and grasp on European football as they also have rights to many major football leagues around the world with Serie A being the newest addition.
Serie A is set to kick off from August 21 that will see Inter Milan defend its title against some of the elite Italian clubs. They clinched the title in the previous season under the coaching of Antonio Conte and with a star-studded squad including Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
The data rights deal between both parties will last until the end of the 2023-24 season and will also cover the media rights of every match in Italy.
