Star Sports to enhance fan experience with Premier League 4K telecast

Star Sports Network, the official broadcaster of the Premier League (PL), has unveiled that the 2024-25 season will be aired in 4K definition for the first time.

Beginning on August 17, PL fans can watch the thrills of the new season in 4K on Star 4K. The first match, between Manchester United and Fulham at 12:30 AM, will set the tone for this historic telecast. The first game week also offers more interesting games in 4K, with Ipswich Town taking on Liverpool and Chelsea facing Manchester City on Sunday.

During the season, Star 4K will air select games involving the ‘Big 6’ teams: Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham. Fans of these historic clubs can expect to see their games in unambiguous 4K, with four times the picture quality and a much improved audio experience.

Star 4K originally debuted during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, and it has subsequently improved the watching experience for key events such as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, Wimbledon 2024, Women’s Asia Cup 2024, Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024, and BGMI Masters Series Season 3. The latest milestone with the Premier League demonstrates Star Sports’ dedication to offering cutting-edge sports content to viewers throughout India.

Furthermore, Star 4K will also broadcast a number of major sporting events, notably the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, and the highly anticipated Pro Kabaddi League season 11.
