Star Sports inks new advertisers for Pro Kabaddi League

The highly anticipated eighth season of PKL will commence on December 22.

Star Sports signs Winzo, MYFab11, GSK, and Luminous as their official advertisers for the upcoming season of the Pro Kabaddi League.

The Pro Kabaddi League is back with its eighth edition after a two-year hiatus. The highly anticipated eighth season of the competition will commence on December 22 with 12 teams playing against each other to win the prestigious PKL trophy. The team includes Dabang Delhi K.C., Bengal Warriors, U.P Yoddha, U Mumba, Haryana Steelers, Bengaluru Bulls, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Gujrat Giants, Puneri Paltan, Telegu Titans, and Tamil Thalivas.

PKL has got onboard some well-known sponsors that include the Indian Edu-tech giant Byju’s, online doctors and lab testing platform Mfine, online rummy game platform A23, online sports news platform Parimatch News, and online health care and finance portal Dhani. Herbalife has been assigned as the nutrition partner for seven of the teams.

There are very high expectations of the advertisers from this league and as per the source, Star Disney has sold 90 per cent of its inventories for the matches. 

The expansion of investment in the Indian marquee kabaddi competition along with the interest of the advertisers and sponsors has made it grow commercially. 

Star Sports spokesperson said: “We are thrilled to bring in the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League to fans after a two-year hiatus. The excitement of the fans and the advertisers are unprecedented.”
