Avik Chatterjee has been appointed as the director-marketing for emerging sports at Star Sports India (The Walt Disney Company).
He is a consumer marketing expert with 16 years of experience in strategic marketing and brand management roles in FMCG, telecom, fintech, and media.
Chatterjee previously worked for Visa as the director of consumer marketing for India and South Asia for four years. He was in charge of leading the consumer marketing agenda by planning and executing integrated marketing strategies to increase Visa transactions and revenues.
His responsibilities included managing deliverables through Visa’s creative, media, digital, and other agency partners, as well as brand and product communication, partnerships, and promotions.
He has also worked as an assistant general manager for consumer segment marketing at Vodafone. Chatterjee was in charge of designing and delivering consumer segment strategies for the telecom brand’s rural and high-value customers (HVC).
Chatterjee is graduated from Nanyang Business School in Singapore with an MBA in marketing and strategy.
