Formula 1 has announced a new multi-year partnership with Standard Chartered, bringing one of the world’s leading international banking groups into the championship’s expanding global commercial portfolio.
Under the agreement, Standard Chartered has become an official partner of F1, with the partnership focused on delivering integrated branding, premium client engagement, and purpose-led initiatives across the sport’s worldwide calendar.
The collaboration aligns two organisations with strong international reach. Formula 1 continues to accelerate its growth across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, markets where Standard Chartered has a deep and long-established operational presence. The partnership reflects a shared emphasis on global connectivity, high performance, and long-term value creation.
As part of the agreement, Standard Chartered will also support F1 Academy, the all-female racing championship aimed at developing the next generation of female talent in motorsport. The bank’s involvement will focus on advancing skills and opportunities for women, both on track and across the wider motorsport ecosystem.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, said, “I am thrilled to welcome Standard Chartered, an incredible financial powerhouse, as a new partner to Formula 1. We are both truly global in nature, sharing fantastic locations around the world with the desire to drive performance and create experiences that excite people and bring them together. With Standard Chartered’s support for F1 Academy, I can’t wait to have them join us in the paddock and see what we can achieve together.”
Roberto Hoornweg, CEO, Corporate & Investment Banking, Standard Chartered, continued, “We’re proud to become an Official Partner to F1, which shares our relentless commitment to high performance, innovation, a world-class client experience, and distinctive global connectivity. F1’s footprint reflects our own cross-border network, with our presence in 19 out of 21 F1 race markets and many other countries where clients enjoy watching one of the most exciting, fastest-growing sports in the world.”
Judy Hsu, CEO, Wealth and Retail Banking, Standard Chartered, added, “As a leading international wealth manager, we will draw on our international network and expertise to bring clients closer to the excitement of F1. Our clients value premium service, innovation, and seamless global connectivity, and this partnership will unlock exclusive experiences for them. Our support for F1 Academy reinforces our commitment to championing female talent and developing the next generation of motorsport talent across our unique footprint.”
The partnership provides Standard Chartered with a comprehensive suite of commercial rights, including trackside and broadcast branding at selected Formula 1 Grands Prix, premium hospitality access, and digital integrations across F1’s global platforms. The agreement also enables tailored activations for clients and partners in key global markets.
The announcement has further strengthened Formula 1’s commercial strategy as the sport continues to attract blue-chip global partners, reinforcing its position as one of the most valuable and internationally scalable properties in world sport.
Standard Chartered joins Formula 1 during a period of sustained momentum for the championship, marked by record global audiences, an expanding race calendar, and rising engagement across live events and digital channels.
