Spring Media launches European Cricket Network data, betting rights tender

A three-year term will be offered, which will begin in January 2023 and conclude in December 2025.

Spring Media agency has announced a new tender process for the data integration and betting live-streaming rights to all European Cricket Network (ECN) competitions.

A three-year term will be offered, which will begin in January 2023 and conclude in December 2025. There are exclusive and non-exclusive data rights available for betting and non-betting tasks, in addition to betting live streaming rights.

Having followed a discussion period, the bid deadline will be December 7 at 3 p.m. (CET). Spring Media anticipates that the rights will be awarded at the beginning of January.

ECN, which was founded in 2019, broadcasts live, high-quality coverage of the European Cricket Series (ECS), European Cricket League (ECL), European Cricket Championship (ECC), and European Cricket Internationals (ECI).

Roger Feiner, European Cricket Chief Executive, commented, “We are fully focused on delivering quality and to continue to raise the standards in the upcoming seasons 2023-2025 within the ECN framework of European Cricket competitions.

“Thanks to the continuous efforts from all at ECN and the unified and innovative production work by Spring Productions, we became the cricketers’ best friend – daily, anytime, and anywhere. It is now the right time to partner with serious and professional operators in the data and betting space, to further strengthen the integrity and availability of our European cricket events.”

Spring Media extended its production and rights distribution agreement with ECN until 2026 earlier this year in June. Spring Media retains overall output responsibility for nearly 1,500 European Cricket matches per season, along with global media rights allocation, under the terms of the agreement.

Craig Neilson, Commercial Director, Spring Media, said, “Since the launch in 2019, ECN has cemented its place as the destination for European Cricket, offering a unified daily cricket output, all live produced by Spring Productions. The rapid development and growth of the ECN properties has generated an increased interest from data and betting operators and we believe now is the right time to offer the property on the market.”
