Sportz Interactive (SI), a global leader in sports technology and fan engagement, has announced a landmark partnership with the newly launched Rugby Premier League (RPL).

This strategic collaboration is set to transform the digital experience for Indian rugby fans and accelerate the sport’s growth nationwide.

Under this alliance, Sportz Interactive will take the helm in developing and managing RPL’s entire digital ecosystem. This comprehensive role includes creating and operating the official league website, which will serve as the central hub for all league information, match schedules, news, photo galleries, and exclusive content. Furthermore, SI will spearhead the management of RPL’s official social media channels, ensuring a robust multi-platform presence and fostering dynamic engagement with rugby enthusiasts across the country.

Sportz Interactive’s commitment extends beyond foundational digital infrastructure. The company will be responsible for crafting and deploying high-impact content to mark pivotal league milestones, such as franchise announcements, player squad reveals, and auction highlights. This content strategy will be significantly enhanced with exclusive interviews featuring key figures like Rahul Bose, President of Rugby India, and Satyam Trivedi, CEO of GMR Sports, offering fans unparalleled insights into the league’s development.

A core focus of the partnership will be the amplification of RPL’s flagship fan campaign, #RugRugMeinRugby. Sportz Interactive will develop bespoke content formats, creative concepts, and immersive storytelling techniques tailored for various digital platforms. The goal is to cultivate deeper fan connections and broaden the sport’s appeal across diverse demographics. Additionally, SI will provide strategic content roadmaps and facilitate sponsor integrations and brand activations, ensuring mutually beneficial engagement for all stakeholders, including existing partners like HSBC India, CapgeminiHero FinCorpGMR GroupJSW Cement, and Amul.

The Rugby Premier League, the world’s first franchise-based Rugby 7s league, is supported by GMR Sports and the Indian Rugby Football Union (Rugby India). Its inaugural season kicked off on June 15, 2025, in Mumbai, with the final match scheduled for June 29, 2025.
