Sports18 to provide coverage of Indian Oil Durand Cup

The competition will be played between August 16 - September 18 in Kolkata, Guwahati and Imphal.

The coverage of the upcoming 131st edition of the Indian Oil Durand Cup will be offered by the newest sports network, Sports18, which is owned by Viacom18

The competition will be played between August 16 – September 18 in Kolkata, Guwahati and Imphal. The historic tournament will be available for viewing live across Sports18 1 SD & HD and Sports18 Khel (Sports Free-to-air channel). Fans can also catch the live action on Voot

The first fixture of the forthcoming edition will be played between Mohammedan SC and FC Goa on August 16 at the Salt Lake Stadium. A total of 20 teams will take part in the tournament, with 11 teams from Indian Super League (ISL), five from I-League and four from Indian Armed Forces.

The commentary panel on the network’s various channels for the tournament will include India women’s team goalkeeper Aditi Chauhan and the former India player Henry Menezes along with the former association footballers Darren Caldeira and Karan Sawhney. 

Earlier this year in April, Viacom18 launched its sports dedicated channel. The newly formed entity has already acquired rights for Diamond League.
