Sportradar forms new agreement with Caribbean Premier League

A match ticker, match listings, and standings are among the new CPL data components.

One of the leading Sportstech companies, Sportradar, has announced a new partnership deal with Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The new agreement between the two parties includes signing a data, audiovisual rights and integrity deal.

In this deal, Sportradar will function as the Hero CPL, Massy Women’s CPL, and SKYEXCH 6IXTY‘s official data partner, betting streaming partner, and integrity partner under the conditions of the contract.

The advancement of a matching centre with inbuilt elements for its internet sites, supplying live scores, ball-by-ball commentary, match summaries, scorecards, and visual perspectives, is among the concrete objectives.

A match ticker, match listings, and standings are among the new CPL data components, while ball-by-ball text commentary is auto-inhabited utilising artificial intelligence from accumulated live data.

Chris Watson, Hero CPL’s Head of Marketing, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Sportradar for the Hero Caribbean Premier League, Massy Women’s Caribbean Premier League and SKYEXCH 6IXTY. Their unrivalled Match Centre gives fans the ability to follow matches from our tournaments wherever they are which is another way we can bring our fantastic supporters even closer to the action.”

Furthermore, the corporation will supply a broad range of information points from each CPL match, leveraging its media and betting offerings and services, as well as its technical capabilities, in order to strengthen its status in the €80 billion global cricket betting market.

Sportradar Integrity Services will also provide sports safeguarding, using the Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) to recognise anomalous betting patterns, with any occurrences probed by its integrity team and reported to the CPL.

Similar collaborations have been reached with the International Cricket Council (ICC), Cricket Ireland, the Tamil Nadu Premier League, Cricket Scotland, and the Royal Dutch Cricket Association (KNCB).

Eric Conrad, Sportradar’s Managing Director Strategic Partnerships and Content, Sportradar, commented, “This partnership will increase the Caribbean Premier League’s visibility around the world and contribute to its continual growth by connecting it with 2.5bn cricket fans globally through Sportradar’s global customer network. We’re thrilled to be able to support the League and its athletes in reaching a new, global audience.”
