Sony Pictures Sports Network to broadcast India tour of Sri Lanka in 4 languages

Sony Ten 1 and Sony Six in English, Sony Ten 3 in Hindi and the newly launched Sony Ten 4 will be broadcasting the matches in Tamil and Telugu.

Sony Picture Sports Network (SPSN) will be broadcasting the India Tour of Sri Lanka series that consists of three ODI matches and three T20I matches, the broadcast will be aired in 4 different languages.

It was announced that the SPSN has signed a total of 15 adversaries from many different industries to sponsor the awaited series. Many famous brands such as ‘Byju’s’, ‘Amazon Prime’, ‘Cars24’, ‘Oppo’ and many more have joined hands and have been brought on board.

The series starting from July 13 will feature the matches across the span of 4 channels, Sony Ten 1 and Sony Six in English, Sony Ten 3 in Hindi and the newly launched Sony Ten 4 will be broadcasting the matches in Tamil and Telugu. This was done as an approach to increase the audience, despite having a huge audience of cricket in the country, the decision to include Tamil and Telugu commentary will surely boost the revenue of SPSN.

For the duration of the series, Rahul Dravid will be stepping in as coach and Shikhar Dhawan will be the captain of a fairly young side with Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the Vice-captain of the squad travelling to Sri Lanka. Increasing fan engagement, SPSN will also be bringing ‘Extraaa Innings’ back in Hindi and English to provide pre and post-match coverage with ball to ball analysis.

The series starting from July 13th has been awaited by fans as the top performers of this series will be the top contenders to make their place in the squad that will travel to UAE and Oman for the ICC T20i World Cup.
