Indian actor Sonu Sood has been signed as the brand ambassador of the SOB, also known as the Special Olympics Bharat. SOB is an officially recognized initiative of the Special Olympics World Games for intellectually challenged athletes.
Sonu Sood was announced as the brand ambassador of SOB over an online conference with over 500 athletes, coaches, and their families related to the organization. The conference also announced Sonu Sood’s involvement in the #walkforinclusion campaign of Special Olympics Bharat.
Ahead of the announcement, the Bollywood actor said, “Today is a very special day for me and I am delighted to join this journey of Inclusion with Special Olympics Bharat. Through their sporting achievements, each and every Special Olympics Athlete redefines human spirit that stands tall in the face of every challenge. I wish luck to all of them to do their best and showcase their abilities with confidence which in itself would send a strong message to the world that they deserve to be mainstreamed. I feel privileged to join the Special Olympics Bharat family, and vouch to make this platform even bigger and resonate with people all over the country. I support SO Bharat. I support the Inclusion Revolution.”
Along with this, Sonu Sood will also be joining the Indian contingent at the Special Olympics Winter World Games that are scheduled to be held in Russia in the year 2022.
Sonu Sood also interacted with the athletes at the online conference offering words of inspiration to the athletes.
