Kapil Dev has been named the official brand ambassador for Sobo Mumbai Falcons, aligning the legendary 1983 World Cup-winning captain with the franchise ahead of the upcoming third edition of the T20 Mumbai League.
The league is making its return this year after last being held in 2019.
Kapil Dev’s association brings immense prestige and cricketing wisdom to the Falcons. His role is expected to significantly boost the franchise’s profile and provide invaluable mentorship to the squad as they prepare for the competition organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

To further strengthen their campaign, the Falcons have appointed Omkar Salvi, current head coach for Mumbai’s senior Ranji Trophy team and bowling coach for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), as Head Coach. The Indian cricket team star and IPL’s Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain, Shreyas Iyer, has been secured as the team’s Icon Player, with Vikrant Yeligeti serving as Team Principal.
The third edition of the T20 Mumbai League is scheduled from May 26 to June 8, 2025. Featuring eight teams competing across 20 matches, the entire tournament will take place at the Wankhede Stadium. All matches will be broadcast live on Star Sports and JioHotstar.
