Sky Sports lands multi-year media rights deal for US Open Championship

The association between Sky Sports and USGA has been extended for a further three years.

The British sports broadcaster, Sky Sports has extended its broadcast agreement with the United States Golf Association (USGA) for the coverage of the annual open national championship of golf in the United States, the US Open Championship.

The association has been extended for a further three years, retaining a further vital aspect of its sports coverage.

The deal with the USGA also covers women’s golf, including the US Women’s Open, US Women’s Amateur Championship, Curtis Cup Match between the UK, Ireland, and the USA, in addition to the US Senior Open and US Amateur Championship.

Sky Sports also owns the rights to the PGA TOUR, DP World Tour, LPGA Tour, and Ladies European Tour along with rights to all four men’s majors and all five women’s majors that are shown exclusively live on Sky Sports Golf.

Furthermore, Sky Sports’ contract with the English Football League (EFL) was also renewed earlier this month, beating out rival DAZN Group.
