The current contract of the 32-year-old was due to expire next year but will now run through June 2024.

AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer has signed a two-year extension making the new deadline 2024. He has netted a pay rise from the €1.2m net per season he was previously earning as he will now get €1.5m per year.

The current contract of the 32-year-old was due to expire next year but will now run through June 2024.

Over the years, Kjaer has appeared in 66 Matches for AC Milan in all competitions and has scored one enormous goal.

Milan in a statement said, “Simon is exemplary professional on and off the pitch”.

Before making a permanent move in January 2020, the 32-year-old centre-back had a spell on loan from Sevilla. Kjaer in his career has only picked up 10 yellow cards, which validate the statement made by the officials.

Kjaer is an excellent player and has also found himself on the 30-man Ballon d’Or shortlist. He will continue to serve Milan with all his experience and skills in his new contract.

AC Milan have acquired the second spot on the Serie A points table with 28 points in 10 games with nine victories and one stalemate. In the Champions League, the club is yet to register a victory in their fixtures so far.
