Shafali Verma signs multi-year contract with JSW Sports

Shafali Verma played for the JSW-owned Delhi Capitals in the first-ever season of the Women's Premier League (WPL).

Shafali Verma, a 19-year-old rising star of women’s cricket in India, has signed a multi-year contract with JSW Sports.

JSW Sports will oversee Verma’s commercial and brand collaborations, as per the partnership.

The teenager played for the JSW-owned Delhi Capitals (DC) in the first-ever season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), earlier this year.

JSW Sports also has Indian athletes like Neeraj Chopra, Jemimah Rodrigues, Pawan Sehrawat, Sakshi Malik, Axar Patel, and many more on its roster.

Commenting on the association, Verma, said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to sign with JSW Sports. The organization has played a massive role in the growth of many athletes’ brands across the country and it’s a huge honour for me to be a part of an esteemed players’ roster. I look forward to a fantastic relationship with JSW Sports.”
