Shadab Khan to feature for Brisbane heat in BBL: Reports

According to the report, Shadab will remain with the team until the end of the current season.

Pakistani cricketer, Shadab Khan will feature for Brisbane Heat in the ongoing season of the Australian Big Bash League (BBL), according to sources on Wednesday. The team from the southeast corner of Queensland have signed Shadab while an agreement between the two parties is being finalised.

According to the report, Shadab will remain with the team until the end of the current season. The 23-year-old leg-spinning sensation has played for the Brisbane Heat in season seven of the league four years ago.

Apart from Haris Rauf, who was enlisted by Melbourne Stars earlier this month, national squad members Muhammad Hasnain, Syed Faridoun, and Ahmed Daniyal have also signed contracts to play in BBL 11.

Haris, Faridoun, and Daniyal play for the Melbourne Stars, while Hasnain plays for the Sydney Thunders.

Shadab Khan first came to the attention of cricket fans during the 2016/17 PSL season. His capability to take wickets while preserving an excellent economy rate prompted him to be an exhilarating Pakistani prospect.

Shadab isn’t afraid to bowl the wrong’un and that’s what makes him more lethal. He’s also a useful lower-order right-handed batsman which Brisbane Heat can maximise on.

In three matches that he played for the Brisbane Heat in 2017, he has been decent for the side as the leg spinner only managed to pick six wickets. Another outing in Australia comes as a big opportunity for the 23-year-old as he will look to correct his figures in the region.
