Serie-A invited bids for media rights in the sports betting sector

The bids are offered to suitable bidders for a duration of three seasons starting from the 2021-2022 season to the 2023-24 season.

The Italian top-flight Serie-A has invited bids for its packages including media rights for sports betting, the bids have been offered for three competitions, The Serie-A Championship, Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup.

The bids are offered to suitable bidders for a duration of three seasons starting from the 2021-2022 season to the 2023-24 season, the offer includes a total of seven packages that are named package A-G.

Package A includes the media rights and the data of matches for sports betting; Package B includes the media rights and the data of matches for sports betting exclusively of the Italian territory; Package C includes the media data of matches that are available globally; Package D includes the Football virtual coach data which will be available globally; Package E will have the right to advertise the Serie-A data sponsor which will be available globally; Package F will include both Packages A and B both; and Package G will include the aggregation of Packages A, B, C, D and E.

With Inter Milan winning the Serie-A in the 2020-2021 season and dethroning Juventus’s run as the hailing champions who won the title 9 times in a row, Inter’s win of the league has opened many possibilities for the sports betting sector in the Italian top flight.

The bidding will start from July 19th and will go on until July 22nd with the tender available on the league’s website with the IMG agency having the media betting rights of the league from 2018-19 to 2020-21 and with their contract coming at a close, the league is again looking for suitors to land the media betting rights deal.
